Alhamdullilah, our community has been steadily growing since 2004 when we first started operations. We launched the Masjid Extension Project in 2015. We have received Zoning and Planning Commission approvals this year and are working on building bids now. We need your continued support. The expansion will provide space for conference, child play area, Adult Education Seminars and other group activities. It is going to be a beautiful little Mosque and we need your generous support to make it happen Insha-Allah.

Hajji Br Asad Raza with his two sons Taha and Harris at the Welcoming Hujjaj evening in Masjid Ar Rahman, Coatesville on Saturday, September 7th, 2019 from 6pm to 8pm. Hujjaj 2019 from Coatesville included Br. Mohammed Jamaluddin, his wife and son Hafidh Abraar Jamaluddin and Br. Zahid Wudud. The evening was very well attended. Eid Day Logistics; (Tuesday 6/4/2019) Takbiraath will start 8 am. Eid Salah will be at 8.30 am followed by Khutbah and breakfast/refreshments. We will have moon bounce and slides for Children in the Green area. Brothers will pray in the parking lot outside; Sisters will pray in the Mussalla. Please use street parking as much as possible, especially if you want to leave early. For parking on premise, please come early and follow volunteer instructions. Car pool if possible.
Please mark your calendars for Friday 5/31 when we plan to complete the Quran Recitation Insha-Allah. We will also use the opportunity to raise funds for our Masjid Expansion. Our Goal for this Ramadhan is $50,000. We would like everyone to chip in generously and be among the first to do so. Those Foremost in serving Allah in the Duniya will be Foremost in the race to Jannah in the Aakihra, Insha-Allah. The moon could not be sighted anywhere tonight (5/4/2019) so we will complete 30 days of Shabaan and start Ramadhan from tomorrow evening. Consequently, Taraweeh will start Sunday 5/5/2019 after Isha. Insha-Allah the first day of Fasting will be Monday 5/6. Please note that Isha will be at 9.30 pm followed by Taraweeh. We will be praying 20 rakats Insha-Allah. All are requested to stay for as long as possible and benefit from listening to the Quran in this Holy Month. May Allah(swt) make it easy of one and all to strive in His Path. We will continue our daily iftar program and also weekend family sponsored iftar Insha-Allah. We need volunteers on a daily basis so if you are available, please sign up. Lets make this our best Ramadhan, Insha-Allah.

Play area will be open from 9am to 3pm. 5. Jummah salah will be at 1.10pm followed by Khutbah. Jummah salah is not mandatory if Eid salah is prayed in congregation. 6. We are on the 21st of Rajab today (Georgian 4/7/2018). Insha-Allah the month of Shabaan will start 4/18/2018. By this reckoning, the likely date for Ramadhan appears to be Wednesday, May 16,2018 (Allah Knows Best). Arrangements have been made for Taraweeh Prayers and iftaar dinners at the Masjid. Eid will be on Sunday, June 25. Takbiraath 8.00 am Salah 8.30 am followed by Khutbah and refreshments There will be moon bounce and fun things for children Note: Astronomical moon is reported to have been born 6/24/2017 therefore the first day of Shawwal is 6/25/2017. Moon was sighted in Saudi Arabia. It was not sighted in North America. ISCC and ISGVF declared Eid on Sunday, June 25 based on ISNA’s calculation.
The Odd Nights of Ramadhan will commence Tuesday June 5th Insha-Allah. Arrangements have been made for brothers and sisters to sit in Itekhaf. Dinner and suhur will be served. We will be praying Qiyam al Layl as well during these nights. Sign up sheets will be posted tonight. Please sign up to help us make appropriate arrangements.
Insha-Allah, Masjid Ar Rahman, Coatesville will start Taraweeh on Wednesday 5/16/2018 as the moon has not been sighted anywhere in Europe, Saudi Arabia, Middle East or Asia tonight. There is no possibility of seeing the moon tonight in the USA, Canada or Mexico. And Allah(swt) knows best.
Most countries of the world are starting Taraweeh tomorrow (Wednesday, 5/16/2018) with first day of fasting on Thursday 5/17/2018. We complete 30 days of Shaban tomorrow. The Month of Ramadhan will come in after Maghreb tomorrow.
We did a quick text poll in the community and 9 out of 10 (90%) agreed to go with sighting of the moon and start Taraweeh tomorrow. Please communicate this update to friends and neighbors in the community.

The new moon was NOT sighted in Saudi Arabia tonight (Friday, September 2nd). As a result, the holy month of Dhul Hijja was declared to start tomorrow, Saturday, September 3rd 2016. Day of Arafat will be Sunday September 11th and the Eid Al Adha will be on Monday September 12th. Logistics are below: 1. 8.00 am to 8.30 am Takbiraat 2. 8.30 am to 9.00 Eid Salah followed by Khutbah 3. 9am to 10 am Refreshments 4. 10 am to 12 noon Lunch 5. 1.30 pm Zuhr Salah Moon bounce and Giant Slide for children from 9am to 3pm. Volunteers must arrive 7am to set up the prayer area and tables for food. We also need volunteers after Zuhr to clean up. Jazaakum Allahu Khairan for your help in advance. Praying area: Sisters praying area will be the main hall and the basement area. Brothers will pray in the parking lot. Parking: On the street and in the designated paved areas. Please follow directions of volunteers. Before you leave for Salah: It is Sunnah to eat an odd number of dates in the morning before Salah so you are not in a state of fasting on Eid day. Zakaatul Fitr (minimum $10/- per person) is payable before Salah. Please look for Zakaat boxes in the prayer areas. May Allah(swt) accept our ibaadah and grant us a wonderful Eid. Aameen.
Saudi Arabia, Qatar and the UAE have announced that Eid al-Fitr in these countries will be celebrated on July 6. Authorities made the announcement on Monday evening after failing to sight the new moon. According to Moonsighting.com, the New Moon might be seen thru a powerful telescope in South America. There is no indication that the new moon will be seen over North America tonight. Therefore, Wednesday July 6th appears to be the likely Eid day for us and Allah knows best.
All indications so far are for Ramadhan to end on Tuesday July 5th in which case Eid Al Fitr will be on Wednesday July 6th. All members are requested to pray Maghrib in jamaat on Tuesday July 5th and look for the New Moon. Eid date will be confirmed based on moon-sighting information. There will be no taraweeh prayers on the night the new moon is sighted Eid logistics will be as follows: 1. 8.00 am Start Takbiraath 2. 8.30 am Eid Salah followed by Khutbah 3. 9.00 am Breakfast and Lunch 4. Moonbounce and Slides for Children from 10 am to 3pm 5. Sisters will pray in the main hall and the basement area 6. Brothers will pray in the parking lot outside 7. Volunteer must arrive by 7am sharp to help with setting up prayer and food areas 8. Zakaat ul Fitra is $10/- per person must be paid before Eid Salah at the latest. Insha-Allah, by the Grace and Mercy of Allah(swt), the new moon of the Holy month of Ramadhan is expected to be seen Sunday June 5th over North America. As a result, Taraweeh prayers will start Sunday June 5th and the first day of fasting will be June 6th.
Hafiz Ismail will be leading the taraweeh. We will pray 20 rakats. Taraweeh will start immediately after Isha Insha-Allah.
May Allah(swt) accept our fasting and standing in prayer to please Him.
